High performing windows for Sheffield homeowners

Replacing your old windows can have a massive impact on both your home’s performance and its appearance. Modern windows are designed and manufactured to meet extremely high standards for thermal efficiency and security capacity. They will noticeably boost your home’s insulation, helping you to make significant savings on your heating bills.

In terms of security, all our windows feature high performing multi-point locking systems as standard. Resistant to all forms of forced entry attempts you can rest assured that your home is safe and secure.

Casement Window

Casement windows are the most popular window choice for UK homeowners. Available in a range of sizes and configurations, a new set of uPVC casement windows is a great way to improve your home and add value to your property’s market price. Both our uPVC and aluminium casement windows provide excellent thermal efficiency and security performance. They will help to keep your home warmer and an increase in kerb appeal.

Double glazing

Double glazing will help to improve the thermal performance of any home. All our windows are fitted with high performance double glazing which meets current industry regulations. Both uPVC and aluminium are available as double glazing options. UPVC double glazing will help keep your windows secure, increase their energy efficiency et at the same time they will also enhance the aesthetics. Similarly, the aluminium double glazing option provides a sleek look along with protection thanks to its strong natural properties and an impressive overall performance.

Flush sash
windows

You can create a smooth uniform aesthetic for your home’s exterior with these flush sash windows. A versatile choice, flush sash windows are perfect for period property installations as well as being equally suited to more contemporary installations. The timber alternative uPVC windows are considerably more low maintenance than timber frames themselves. There is no more need for serious upkeep with sanding down and painting, just an occasional wipe down with some warm water will do the trick.

Sliding sash windows

Our uPVC and aluminium sliding sash windows have the traditional opening action along with all the benefits of modern materials. Our sliding sash windows tastefully replicate the period sash window style, meaning that they are an excellent option for traditional properties. The traditional timber aesthetic is able to be upheld with the uPVC option, allowing for many of the benefits of the periodic windows without any of the negative aspects. The reduced maintenance is coupled with the impressive thermal efficiency and security.

Tilt & turn
windows

The innovative tilt and turn openings allow for easy cleaning access and improved ventilation. These are therefore the perfect choice for high rise buildings where access is difficult. The tilt and turn windows have proven progressively popular with homeowners who enjoy the idea of versality, being able to open up the window wide or using the tilt feature to provide some extra internal ventilation. Due to their design with relation to their multiple locking points, the tilt and turn windows are even more robust as a result. There is even the added difficulty of opening the windows from the outside due to the in-swing hinges, making it even more secure.

Bay windows

The beautiful bay windows are able to bring in an abundance of natural light into your home’s interior. They are also completely customisable in order to meet your exact design requirements. Whether you are looking at aluminium or uPVC for your bay windows; thermal efficiency, aesthetics and security are all factors that you can tick off your checklist.

Which is better uPVC or Aluminium Windows?

Both uPVC and aluminium frames are great options when replacing your existing windows. They both come in a range of colours and can be designed to perfectly harmonise with your home.

Aluminium and uPVC windows are incredibly secure and energy-efficient, yet if you are looking for a low maintenance option, then uPVC is a great choice. Though aluminium windows are also low maintenance, they will require more upkeep in comparison to uPVC. They both withstand extreme weather with our powder coat finish.

So, if you really want your windows to endure the harshest coastal weather, the most reliable window material is aluminium. Another factor that differentiates the two materials is their life span. uPVC windows are expected to last around 25-30 years whereas aluminium windows can last up to 40 years!

Coloured uPVC and aluminium windows

Our premium windows come in a plethora of colours, from contemporary tones such as black and anthracite grey to classical hues such as Chartwell Green and vintage cream, which means you can design your windows to seamlessly blend with your exterior or use them to create a striking feature on your façade. We even offer authentic woodgrain textures such as Irish Oak, Golden Oak, and Rosewood. Our timber effect windows have all the intricate details of original wood windows and can be the finishing touch to your home.

uPVC Windows

For our range of uPVC windows we use a foil finish to give the colour and texture of an authentic woodgrain. The foil is applied via a heat bonding process which creates a virtually resilient, durable, long-lasting finish.

Aluminium windows

Aluminium coloured windows use a technique called Powder Coating. During the powder coating process the aluminium frames will have an electrical charge applied to them and the powder will be sprayed onto the aluminium. This charge helps the powder adhere to the aluminium, which provides a long-lasting attractive finish.

Is it worth replacing double glazing?

It’s always worth replacing your double glazed windows if:

They are over 20 years old

They are letting condensation in between the glass panes – condensation can lead to areas of damp to appear and mould to grow if left untreated. This therefore does not only have the potential to be a bad thing for your home, but your health as well.

You are getting large draughts from the windows – look at any failed seals, signs of damage, mould, rotted wood and make sure that your windows are properly insulated.

Old double glazed windows will not benefit from the new security and thermal efficiency technology incorporated into modern double glazing. Replacing draughty, old or condensing double glazing will save you money on energy bills in the long run and make life more comfortable.
